Who is who?
The different groups that make up Dark Isle..
Followers of the Gods and their voice on the Isle, these men hold the power that many would try to wrest from their hands. Masters of Ceremony and Magic, they hold the rest under their control by their subtle ways of taking the power that the gods give them away again. It is a brave man that crosses a Druid and lives to tell the tale.
The Nobles..
The holders of coin and sword, the ones who make the peasants and craftsmen work, the lords and ladies of the Island. Rule alone now by the Noble House of Loire , its leader wears a crown and stands as tyrant to the Isle. His men are split into two distinct groups - the guard warriors true to uphold thier leader - some say thugs but they also contain honorable men sworn to protect islanders in a rule of law and those darker souls..
Are the assassins for the King. The private order for the King to take down any opposition and control the people by whatever force may be needed. Following a strict set of codes in order to keep their secrecy in tact.
Followers of Magic and ways that the Druids would say is evil itself, it is these women who walk a fine line, hiding when they must but never fully disappering like so many would think. The nursemaids, midwifes and healers of the land, many is the soul who has spoken to them or recieved their help and paid the price they ask and would do so again.
Masters of the shadows and scourge of honest working people, one might think in such a place they would long since have gone, but that is far from the case. Paid by any who might hire them or simply up to their old tricks, no true house or person is safe on the isle as long as these people walk in the darkness and see a profit to be made.
Without these honest folk, the animals would starve, the crops would wither and people go hungry. Called lazy by noble and druid alike yet even these groups know that without them, they all would suffer. The craftsman of the island earn a modest living for their work and long for the time when their hard work and prayers will be rewarded..
