Well.. what a week,, what a week.. where to start…

If it wasn’t the noise from the stonemasons putting the final touches to the castle, to the thump of hooves as the great lords charged at one another from the jousting lists.. its not been the most peaceful of times..

The hoard of spirits invaded from another world … far more than any one expected sent the poor witch of the red,  Anathstryx quite mad with panic (not that she isn’t round the bend as it is.. heh) ..

Poor watcher, misunderstood and quite put upon,  was evicted from her home, not in the nicest way, the Lord Constantine gave her gold she didn’t ask for and then he burned her wagon - with a kick to her chest from his horse took her to his keep to serve him…frankly these Lords are getting above themselves if you ask me..

Without thinking and in shock at such brutal action she ran from the castle crying for help.. his revenge was short and sweet - to pay the knave rickester to have the well shut up.. with poor watcher moving from door to door begging for shelter, he managed to turn the village away from her ..

Unfortunately charity seems to be a little thin on the island .. and she was given little support.. more jealously from the villagers for gaining his attention - particularly from that spiteful weaver, Ciara, who is busy fighting off the attention of the Lord Havoc.. oh no she doesn’t want to get her feet under the table up at his keep..does she ?  oh no ….heh.. from what i hear she looked better for having a mud pack applied to her face.. or was it cow dung?

And on the subject of rickester, not that this chronicler is casting apseration on the man’s so called good character BUT the thieves seem to have made themselves very comfortable down at the mill.. goodness knows what that will do to the price of flour .. we demand the nobles get off their bony arses and stop counting their coin and do something..

As for lazy, good for nothing men.. the druids.. well at least this island is spared the presence of Baph while he goes on retreat.. doesn’t seem to stop the Arch-druid Calis from poking his nose into everyone’s business.. a bitter twisted man, standing on a street corner pontificating, we wonder how he ever got to such an exalted position.. heh.. more secrets to dig out we feel..

As for the smith.. Caliway has eyes less for the good of the village -  more for the shepherdess.. was it both of them that we seen curled up in the straw? Fishy of you ask me.. and him not being able to stop the foul murder of the innocent old lady.. not from the flame - or a fair trial but with a blade in the back from an impatient noble…

And talking about an innocent , the latest news is that that wonderful girl watcher, with only thoughts of the good of the community in her heart returned to the hall of House Loire to resume her service there, we do nothing but applaud her for her sacrifice..

We weep for the island and wonder if the gods have turned their faces from us.. Eloria.. where are you?
